leaving for the beach

the beach is undoubtedly my favorite place in the world. it doesn't matter much which beach in particular; i can sit and watch the waves roll in for hours no matter where i am. there is something so calming about the constant heartbeat of the surf against the land. the minutes turn to seconds any time my toes are at the edge of the water.

but there is nothing like my beloved oregon coast. i'm headed off in a few hours to try a new stretch of it, and no doubt i'll blog about it during or after, depending on my internet connection.

11. remember to eat, sleep and breathe.

this is one of my grandmother's adorable aprons i've inherited, (which i am now collecting) that i used to cook really yummy blueberry pancakes this morning.

this is my really ridiculous tuner i used all through middle school. i'm proud to say i have a tiny bit more sophisticated one now, but this one is fun to ah... look at.
